The following apply in analysing the learning style from the given learning style activities

Do the three top preferences in the score fit with your own feelings about your learning preferences?

Personally, I was surely amazed to realise that after quantifying the score, the top three preferences (Intrapersonal, Naturalist and Kinesthetic) are best fit to my own feelings about learning preferences.

How might an understanding of the difference learning styles be helpful in your course?

This activity was indeed useful in making a self introspection regarding individual learning style/s. It has helped to understand the existing learning styles for my potential learners. Understanding of the difference learning styles help to subject and suit my potential learners to the suitable learning environment that are compatible to their individual differences and thus simplify learning and assisting them to do the best in the course.

To what extent are the learning resources in your course reflecting the range of learning styles?

To the great extent, the learning resources in my course reflect the range of the prescribed learning styles. The nature of this course (OGE 121) allows students of different learning styles (intrapersonal learners, naturalist learners, kinesthetic learners, musical learners etc.,) to full participate into learning activities as it requires students to engage into natural environment and make a lot of self discoveries. It also provides an opportunity for learner to engage into simple-complex researches, library search and other self motivated learning.

Where are the gaps?

Despite the prescribed merits, there is a notable gap between the learning resources and the range of learning styles. For instance, the level of technology and the available resources have never been a good friend for course facilitators to meets all students demands and for learners to fully utilise their potentials to the best of themselves. Perhaps it is the high time to work on and get rid of such and other shortcomings.

Dear Kazuva

I can see that you had a reflective session through this exercise.  Most importantly you are aware of the need to diversify your learning resources so that they cater for various learning styles.
