This course is designed to impart to law students with the practice and modalities of handling private international disputes. The course gives an overview of what is private international law (PIL), including the basic principle governing PIL. The course starts with a brief introduction of what PIL, it discusses the main issues in private international law, it explain the relationship between private international law and public international law, the course further identifies theories and rules involved in Private International Law, it indicates different aspects where conflicts of law may arise and it further discusses different procedural matters in PIL.
